• GYM FIELD Osaka Umeda — official HYROX training partner offering movement-train classes and drop-ins (~10 min metro from Namba)
• Additional functional fitness studios and CrossFit affiliates in central Osaka offer useful prep and last-minute workouts

Osaka is food heaven, especially famed for pushy street food and cozy late-night bites:

• Clean-eats: R Baker & Extail Café; wholesome breakfast bowls and salads
• Local flavour: Takoyaki stands in Dotonbori; savory, fast, and iconic
• Quick bite: Kushikatsu Daruma; deep-fried skewers perfect for hungry athletes

• Peace Osaka (central park gardens) — shaded paths and historic reflection pools for gentle cooldown walks
• Spa World (near Tennoji) — multi-floor international baths for hydrotherapy recovery (sauna, hot and cold pools)
• Sumiyoshi Park — serene landscape for stretching or mobility circuits under fresh air

Osaka’s metro, JR, and private rail lines are efficient and athlete-friendly—easy for transporting gear. Prepaid ICOCA or Suica cards streamline travel. Avoid rush hour congestion by planning travel outside 7–9 am and 5–7 pm.

Japan offers short-term visa exemptions for many countries including the U.S., Canada, Australia, and most of Europe—for up to 90 days. Confirm your eligibility with your local Japanese embassy ahead of time to ensure a smooth arrival.

For international athletes, Osaka offers excellent value compared to other Asian metro HYROX events like Singapore or Hong Kong with quality without a premium price point.

• Rating: $$$(moderately priced by Asian standards)

• Accommodation: $80–150 mid-range; $160–250 for upscale options

• Dining: $8–15 for casual meals; $20–35 for refined sit-downs; plentiful budget street eats under $6

• Transport: One-way metro or JR rides around $2–3; day passes deliver cost-efficient mobility
