HYROX Basel 2027

HYROX Basel dates are 12–14 February 2027, bringing three days of racing to Switzerland's compact cultural capital for the first time since 10 September 2022. The event lands at Messe Basel, a major exhibition precinct in the heart of the city, giving athletes an unusually convenient setup with hotels, trams, restaurants and the Rhine all close to the race floor.

Basel should attract a genuinely international field. Switzerland, France and Germany meet around the city, while strong rail connections make it accessible from across Central Europe. Add a winter race window and a highly walkable host city, and this has the ingredients for a polished, low-friction debut weekend.

Basel is compact enough to make race weekend easy but substantial enough to justify staying a few extra days. The Rhine cuts through an attractive old city packed with cafés, museums and historic streets, while the race venue sits close enough to central Basel that athletes do not need to choose between good logistics and a proper city stay.

Its location adds another layer. Basel sits at the meeting point of Switzerland, France and Germany, making extensions into Alsace, the Black Forest or other Swiss cities straightforward. For athletes who prefer a short, efficient European racecation over a sprawling destination, Basel is a particularly strong fit.
