Buenos Aires gyms are vibrant, social, and community-driven, mixing functional fitness with Argentine passion.

• CrossFit Tuluka: One of the largest functional training communities, great for sled push/pull and HYROX prep.
• Bigg CrossFit Palermo: Central location, big space, HYROX-style equipment.
• Megatlon: A chain of modern gyms with solid strength and conditioning setups.
• 👉 Training here is lively, supportive, and passionate — expect locals to push hard, cheer loud, and invite you in.

Food in Buenos Aires is legendary, and athletes will love the carb and protein-heavy options:

• Carb Load: Guerrin Pizzeria – Famous Buenos Aires-style pizza, thick and cheesy.
• Pre-Race Fuel: Natural Deli – Clean bowls, salads, smoothies, and good coffee.
• Recovery Meal: Don Julio – Iconic parrilla (steakhouse), one of the world’s best restaurants.
• Snack & Coffee: Café Tortoni – Historic café with strong espresso and medialunas (Argentine croissants).

Buenos Aires knows how to recover — with a focus on relaxation and community.

• Thermal & Spa: Aqua Vida Spa – Hydrotherapy and massage.
• Outdoor Recovery: Ecoparque or Bosques de Palermo – Long walks, jogs, or light movement in leafy green spaces.
• Massage: Many boutique clinics offer sports massage at affordable rates.
• Active Reset: Try a local tango class — gentle movement, stretch, and cultural immersion in one.

Buenos Aires transport is accessible and cheap, though a bit chaotic.

• Airport → City: Official taxis and Uber are most reliable (45–60 min). Shuttle buses are available but slower.
• City Transport: Subte (metro) covers most neighborhoods; very cheap but crowded. Buses are frequent and extensive. Uber works well for athletes moving with gear.
• Tips: Always use official taxis/Uber at the airport. Keep some pesos handy for metro/buses, though many accept rechargeable SUBE cards.

Most South American countries (e.g., Brazil, Chile, Uruguay): No visa required. EU, UK, Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand: No visa required for short tourist stays (up to 90 days).US citizens: No visa required. Others: Check Argentine consulate, but generally tourist visas are straightforward.

Compared to North America and Europe, Buenos Aires is highly affordable for athletes.

• Hotels: €50–120 per night for mid-range, boutique stays. Luxury properties are still cheaper than NYC or Paris.
• Meals: World-class steak dinners with wine for €15–30. Casual empanadas or pizza for under €5.
• Transport: Subte (metro) costs ~€0.30 per ride, Uber/taxis across the city usually €3–10.
• 👉 For value and experience, few HYROX racecations compare.
