After the intensity of HYROX at AsiaWorld-Expo, recovery options nearby help athletes restore and recharge amid Hong Kong’s bustling urban energy. The Regal Airport Hotel, directly connected to the venue, features a full-service spa offering deep tissue massages, hydrotherapy pools, and relaxation lounges—perfect for soothing sore muscles after race day.

This blend of East-meets-West treatments offers athletes a holistic path to muscle recovery and mental relaxation.

Hong Kong’s heat and humidity call for rejuvenating hydrotherapy and cooling treatments. Several luxury hotels in the city center, such as The Peninsula Hong Kong and Mandarin Oriental, boast state-of-the-art wellness centers with cryotherapy chambers and saltwater flotation pools that help reduce inflammation and enhance recovery.

For a truly local experience, some wellness centers also offer herbal baths and cupping therapy, drawing from centuries-old Chinese medicine traditions to improve circulation and reduce muscle tension—an excellent complement to high-performance racing.

Efficient transit links between the airport, AsiaWorld-Expo, and downtown Hong Kong make accessing these recovery havens easy, allowing athletes to balance competition with self-care in one of the world’s most dynamic cities.

HYROX Hong Kong 2025 will take place at the AsiaWorld-Expo, conveniently located near the airport and well-connected by public transport.

Here’s how to get there easily:

• MTR (Train): Take the Airport Express line to AsiaWorld-Expo Station — it’s the final stop and drops you right at the venue entrance.
• Bus: Multiple Citybus and Long Win routes (e.g. S1, E11) stop at AsiaWorld-Expo. Check the schedule ahead, especially for early wave times.
• Taxi / Ride Share: Easily accessible via designated drop-off zones. Expect higher demand near opening hours — plan accordingly.

We recommend arriving at least 90 minutes before your wave time to allow for check-in, warm-up, and locker access.

Travel Visas for HYROX Hong Kong

Hong Kong maintains a visa-free entry policy for passport holders from over 170 countries and territories, including Australia, the UK, the EU, the United States, Canada, and New Zealand. Depending on your nationality, you may be allowed to stay visa-free for anywhere from 7 to 180 days. All you’ll need is a passport that’s valid for at least one month beyond your intended stay, along with proof of onward travel and possibly your HYROX event confirmation.

If your passport is from a country not covered by Hong Kong’s visa waiver program, you’ll need to apply for a short visit visa before arriving. This can typically be done through a Chinese embassy or directly through the Hong Kong Immigration Department. Processing times can vary, so we recommend starting early and having documents ready—such as your flight itinerary, hotel booking, and race registration. For full details and to check your country’s visa status, visit the Hong Kong Immigration Department’s official site.

Hong Kong offers world-class experiences with a high price tag. Hotel rooms in central areas typically start at $150–250 USD per night, though smaller guesthouses and mid-range stays in Kowloon can bring that down to $80–120. Dining ranges widely—local dim sum under $10, upscale dining $50+. The MTR transit system is cheap and efficient, offering solid savings on transport. Attractions like Victoria Peak or the Star Ferry are affordable, but overall costs—especially accommodation—place Hong Kong among the more expensive HYROX destinations.
