Visa guide

Travel Visa for HYROX United Kingdom

EU / EEA Nationals: No visa for short stays.
USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand: Generally no visa required for short tourist visits (up to 6 months).
Other Countries: You may need a Standard Visitor Visa — always check the UK Government website for the latest entry rules.
Important: Post-Brexit, EU athletes must have a valid passport (ID cards are no longer accepted).

Most international athletes, including those from the United States, European Union, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand, do not require a visa to enter the United Kingdom for short visits of up to 6 months. This makes attending HYROX Birmingham straightforward for the majority of participants. A valid passport is required for the duration of your stay, and entry is typically granted for tourism, events, or short-term business purposes. You cannot work, study long-term, or access public funds during this period. Travelers from other countries should check the UK Government’s official visa checker to confirm their specific entry requirements before booking flights.

Cost Insights

Manchester balances affordability and quality. Mid-range hotels cost ~£90–£160 per night, while budget hostels or B&Bs can be found for under £60. Local casual meals run £8–15; sit-down pubs or gastropubs typically £20–30. Public transport via Metrolink is reliable (~£3 one-way), and the city offers many low-cost or free cultural attractions—especially near the race venue.
