Local Gyms

Nearby gyms include CrossFit Riviera and Zone Fitness Nice (both offer HYROX-style sessions and drop-in access). L’Orange Bleue Gym and IronBody Gym in central Nice offer cardio-heavy and strength programming within 10–15 minutes tram ride of the venue.

Local Eats

Enjoy post-race refuel with Niçoise salad, socca at local stalls, or seafood plates at Le Safari in Old Town. For protein‑balanced bowls and fresh juice, try Pure & V near the Promenade. Coffee lovers can sip at La Maison de Marie, perfect for recovery ritual and people‑watching.

Recovery Guide

On-site cool‑down zones at the event are helpful, but athletes often stroll along Plage Beau Rivage or wind down at Jasmin Wellness Spa near the Acropolis. The flat seafront promenade is ideal for low‑impact walking or calf stretching with ocean views.

Public transport guide

Nice’s public transport is swift and coastal. Tram Line 1 runs through the city along the promenade and stops at “Acropolis”. Single tickets cost about €1.70 (valid 75 minutes). Buses serve beach and Old Town districts for under €2. Taxi and e-scooter options are plentiful.

Visa guide

Athletes from EU/EEA, UK, US, Canada, Australia, and many other nations enjoy visa‑free access to France via the Schengen zone. Non‑exempt travellers must apply for a short-stay Schengen visa in advance.

Cost Insights

Nice tends toward mid-tier pricing in France. Hotel rates near the promenade or exhibition center range from €120–€200+, while budget options and B&Bs in nearby districts begin around €70–90. Casual but local eats such as socca or salad niçoise cost €10–15. Public transport uses a zone system (~€1.50–2 per tram ride). Coastal taxes and tourist surcharges apply, but the city offers free park spaces and beach access for recovery and leisure.
