- Guide: The “live where you race” option – big-resort vibe, tons of food choices, and everything from pool floats to sports massage without leaving the property.
Excalibur Hotel & Casino (3★ – budget, walkable Strip classic)
- Where: South Strip, roughly 1–1.5 km from Mandalay Bay via the pedestrian bridges and Strip walkways; about 10–15 minutes on foot or a very short rideshare.
- Recovery angle: Several seasonal outdoor pools plus an on-site fitness centre accessible to guests – enough for a light shake-out session and a cool-down dip.
- Guide: One of the cheapest big-name resorts within walking distance of Mandalay Bay, good for athletes who just want a basic gym and pool while keeping costs low.
2. Downtown / Strip recovery stays (gym + pool + spa focus)
ARIA Resort & Casino (5★ – recovery powerhouse)
- Where: Center Strip location in the CityCenter complex; typically a 5–10 minute drive or rideshare down Las Vegas Blvd to Mandalay Bay.

- Where: Mid-Strip beside ARIA and New York-New York; usually a 5–10 minute drive to Mandalay Bay along the Strip.
- Recovery angle: 24/7 fitness centre with modern cardio and weights, a three-pool outdoor complex with plenty of loungers, plus spa and hot tub options for tired legs.
- Guide: Great middle-ground pick – smoke-free, modern and calmer than some neighbours, with good recovery facilities and easy access up and down the Strip.
The LINQ Hotel + Experience (3★ – budget, central Strip)
- Where: Heart of the Strip next to the LINQ Promenade and High Roller; around 10–15 minutes by car or rideshare to Mandalay Bay.
- Recovery angle: On-site fitness centre and spa area with relaxation spaces, plus a seasonal outdoor pool that doubles as a social hub for post-race hangs.
- Guide: Budget-friendly but super central – you still get a gym, pool and basic spa facilities while staying in the thick of the Strip action.
